Alright people, so for my first anime review, I figure that I should cover my favorite Anime, "Deadman Wonderland". Now I'm new to reviews, so bear with me people haha :) So this anime starts out 10 years after a major earthquake that destroyed Tokyo, with our protagonist, Ganta Igarashi, sitting in homeroom watching a video of an amusement park/prison, Deadman Wonderland, where the inmates are the attractions. Turns out that his class is planning a holiday trip there in the upcoming weeks, and he wanted to get a view at what it was. Skip forward in the day, just another boring moment in a school that we've all experienced, except that out of the window is floating a man in blood covered armor! Naturally, all of the students panic, and our Ganta faints after taking a nasty hit. When he comes to, his entire class is slaughtered, blood covers the ceiling, floor, and walls, and the mysterious "Red Man" is waiting. A crystal materializes in his hand, which he proceeds to embed in Ganta's chest. Through a crazy turn of events, Ganta is found guilty of the murder of his 29 classmates, and is sentenced to death in the very same prison his class was going to visit, Deadman Wonderland. Now people, this is the first 10 minutes, and I gotta say that I WAS HOOKED. This anime is stunning visually, it has a good story, GREAT voice casting, and it really makes you look at just how twisted us we humans can really be. It is a story of hardship, of the acceptance that reality is not always perfect, and in just these 12 episodes, YOU WILL be wanting more. That's where the manga comes in, because sadly, the ending leaves a lot to be desired on the anime, but that's about.....1/4 of the way through the manga, maybe 1/3 if you're being generous. That being said, this is a great anime to see, definitely if you're into the more macabre style of anime, as it is very bloody. I hope you had fun reading this, and I hope that you will want to watch this. Like I said though people, this was my first review EVER, so cut me some slack, 'k? <3
Thanks for the info bro, great review!
